Description

Experience the green oasis of the Urbanhafen in Berlin, and join locals and tourists on their recreational pursuits with a 3-hour kayak tour along the former boundaries of the notorious Iron Curtain. You will be provided with all kayak equipment to paddle with expert guides along the canal. Glide under the Admiralsbrücke, a perfect example of Berlin’s mix of past and present. Experience Kreuzberg’s multi-cultural flair, passing the Jewish commune on one side, and the Maybachufer, famous for its Turkish Market, on the other. Your guide can provide some history about the Landwehrkanal, planned by the royal landscape architect Peter Joseph Lenné in the 19th century to simulate the curves of a natural river. Glide under the Oberbaumbrücke, Berlin’s most beautiful bridge, with the iconic TV Tower in the background. Kayak around the Osthafen (East Harbor) to experience Berlin’s creative industries. You will also go to the Badeschiff, a pool in the River Spree. You will kayak to the famous Molecule Man sculpture and then turn around to return to the departure point of the tour in Kreuzberg.
