Indian
Using authentic recipes the Indian chefs at Maharadscha 1 and 2 will prepare for you a range of curries, barbeque dishes, rice and breads to get your taste buds tingling with a good range of choice for vegetarians. If you are not up for too much chilli, let them know and they will adjust the level accordingly. If you are unsure of what to order, ask the wait staff to recommend a tasting plate - It is a great way to sample the best of what they offer.
The menu is in German and English and all the staff speak English as well and if you manage to be there whilst the female owner is working you are in for a treat as she is very helpful and friendly.
The portions aren't huge, which is sometimes a blessing for Indian food. A dinner for four people of starters, mains and drinks may cost somewhere around €85. So a bit more expensive than average but a great night out with good authentic food.
A good special at the Schönhauser Allee location is a 2 for 1 Sunday meal deal from 12 - 5pm.
