German
This old Berlin tavern is a heritage listed building the heart of Kreuzberg. The stain glass, ironwork and tiled walls are original, so too the stucco work and Art Nouveau details. This combined with the charming, intimate atmosphere in the three different rooms makes Max and Moritz a lovely restaurant to dine in. The dining room, the newly renovated Busch Hall and the Bel Etage can also cater to groups and parties with an à la carte menu.
On offer at Max und Moritz are large portions at a good price. The menu is written in German and English so anglophiles won't have to try and guess what it is they have just ordered. This is quite a popular restaurant and tables fill up quickly so we recommend booking which can be done from 11am the day you wish to dine. Restaurant opens at 5pm.
