Over the past twenty years Bar jeder Vernuft has become a favourite of Cabaret performers and audiences alike. Presenting the crème de la crème of cabaret, chanson and comedy, 'the BAR', as it is often referred to, offers a constantly changing program of Germany and Europe's best artists in a venue that harkens back to the decadent days of Weimar Berlin. From the outside, the Spiegelzelt, built in 1912, is pretty unimpressive, but as soon as you enter the stunning ballroom filled with mirrors large and small, you will be immediately transported to a magical world of glitz and glamour.
The BAR features mostly German speaking artists, with the occasional English act. For many of the shows though, an ability to speak German is not necessary, you will still have a romping great time, despite not quite getting all the jokes.
