Bauhaus Archives

Berlin

Art Galleries

The Bauhaus Architecture School (1919 - 1933) is one of the most famous design schools in the world.

It was eventually closed by the Third Reich due to their belief that the school was home to Communist ideas, but the ideas of the school lived on and are now being collected by the Bauhaus Archives.

Including works by Lyonel Feininger, Johannes Itten, Paul Klee, Wassily Kandinsky and László Moholy-Nagy among others, it is the foremost museum of Bauhaus architecture in the world. The museum recommends you allow at least two hours for your visit. Entrance is €6 with discounts available for groups and of course, the site includes a shop.
