Museums
The collection in this museum covers art from the entirety of Asia, with specific focus on sculptures from South Asia, South-East Asia, and Central Asia. In total the museum boasts 20,000 artefacts, which look at the progression of Asian art from the 4th millennium BC through to the modern day.
The collection started life in 1873 as an Indian collection, but quickly expanded, before ultimately becoming the current incarnation in 1992.
The site is closed on Mondays, and opens from 10am to 6pm on Tuesday to Sunday. There is a café and small shop, allowing visitors to unwind and take home some memorabilia after looking at the collection.
