Panoramapunkt

Berlin

Sightseeing

The fastest elevator in Europe takes just 20 seconds to deliver you 100m to the 24th floor.  In addition to the unique view of Berlin there is also an open air exhibition detailing the history of Potsdamer Platz which has has gone from important trading post and height of luxury, to a mound of rubble at the end of the Second World War.  From 1961 the Berlin Wall ran through the middle of the area and it became a no mans land between East and West.  Since the fall of the Wall the area has become the new heart of modern Berlin, with many large modern buildings being built on the former death strip.

The cafe at the Panoramapunkt is one of the best places to watch the sun go down over the city and offers a wide selection of food and beverages.
