Sauvage Paleolithic Restaurant
Berlin
Fusion
First of all, lets look at what Paleolithic food is. Basically the concept is based on the eating and dietary habits of prehistoric times, but don't be scared, its not all tearing a limb from an animal and eating it with your bear hands. Think: ancestral cooking methods, with contemporary cuisine and evolutionary science and you have a back to nature way of eating that is incredibly healthy for you and delicious.
Restaurant Sauvage uses only organic ingredients, seasonal vegetables, wild caught fish and meat from only grain fed, pastured livestock or wild game, homemade fermented foods and all the other good stuff like animal fats and unrefined vegetable oils, nuts, herbs and seeds. They are grain free, gluten free and sugar free.
But Sauvage is not just a Paleo restaurant, they also run three different cooking classes on the cuisine plus they host regular group dinners and is a reference library of sorts for those wishing to learn more about the cuisine and the lifestyle. First opened in 2011 in Nuekölln they now have a substantial sister restaurant in Prenzlauerberg that can cater for larger groups.
This is a really interesting and tasty place to eat and the only one of its kind in Berlin and the world.
